Dietes is one of the toughest plants in Perth's coastal gardens - tolerating sandy soils, salt, drought, and neglect while maintaining attractive strap-like foliage year-round. Full sun to part shade. Sandy, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Do not remove old flower stems after flowering - new buds develop along the same stem. Divide congested clumps in autumn.
